In relation to this, 6.65 beneficiaries have been registered and 6.22 lakh beneficiaries have been geo-tagging.

The spokesperson said that the main objective of the Prime Minister Housing Scheme Uttar Prades (Rural) started from November 20, 2016 is to provide housing to poor families living in homeless and in-house houses. Under this, beneficiaries have been identified on the basis of social, economic and caste census. For this, the survey has been conducted on the rural level through the Tablet PC. The funding for the scheme will be done by the Central and State Government in the ratio of 60:40.

The final list was presented in the open meeting of the Gram Sabha. The final eligibility list has been approved by the Gram Sabha by excluding those families who have already got accommodation after the surveyor who has made housing through their own resources or are ineligible for any other reason. In case of any complaint regarding the eligibility list prepared, the rural household can complain in the Appellate Committee constituted at the district level and development block level.

In order to incorporate the names of eligible families whose names are not included in this list for some reason, the instructions have been given to the districts to prepare the list according to the procedure prescribed in the guidelines. The list prepared from the district will be made available at the state level. Requesting to be included in the state-level list will be sent to the Indian Government. As per the updated information, out of 48.08 lakh households in this list, 24.17 lakh families have been found eligible for the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Rural).

Payment of funds to beneficiaries in three installments

The cost of each accommodation is 01 lakh 20 thousand rupees for general areas and Rs. 01 lakh 30 thousand for the Naxal affected districts. Payment to the beneficiaries will be done in three installments. For the common areas, the first installment is Rs 40 thousand, the second installment is 70 thousand rupees and the third installment is Rs 10 thousand rupees. In the three Naxal affected districts, the first installment is Rs 44 thousand, the second installment is 76 thousand rupees and the third ten thousand rupees.
